Do you know any special tricks for removing bump knob on Troy Bilt TB70SS trimmer?

I am following the instructions on page 12 figure 15 of the operator’s manual, but I can’t get the knob to budge. Yes, I am going counterclockwise. I have shot Liquid Wrench into it.

  • rust in the valves will keep them from moving. Remove the spark plug, spray WD40 into the engine turn it over spray again, turn it over again. Replace the plug, Spray starting fluid into the carb. And start and blow snow.
